So Zoe went and found her pacifiers today, and was just holding them in bed. I asked if she planned to sleep with them and she said "no, I'm a big girl". I decided, though, to take the last step and get rid of the pacis altogether. After her nap we headed to our small local toy store. Zoe picked out this beautiful pink cape and we went to the register. She dutifully turned in her pacifiers and they gave her her cape in return. The people there were so sweet- they made a big deal about it and while I paid they took the cape out of its packaging so she could wear it. She was very very proud of herself.
