Another good day...

Weekend: We went camping and had a wonderful time. Went on an awesome hike Saturday morning, came back to camp with the sound of rumbling thunder. It started raining less than an hour later and kept raining until Sunday morning. The good part was that our tent (cheap-o Target special) was completely waterproof, the kids still were entertained and didn't hurt each other, and the trip was overall a big success!
Today: Zoe had her second day of school today. She was excited about going and came home in a great mood- had lots of fun. Ian and I ran errands this morning and then started getting really bored around lunchtime so we decided to walk up to his elementary school to see if we could help any of the teachers. We ran into his art teacher and worked in her classroom for about an hour helping her get set up, sorting art supplies, etc. Ian was so proud that he was able to help, and I was glad that I didn't just sit him in front of the TV for the afternoon! After we picked up Zoe from school, we met some friends at the park by our house, and ran into more friends there.
I'm still cleaning up from the camping trip (drying out the tent, washing our nasty sleeping bags, etc), but had a great day.
Ian has meet the teacher in the morning and then afterward a bunch of other firstgraders and their parents are going down to the park to hang out and mingle.
School starts for Ian on Wednesday and Zoe (who isn't in school on Wednesdays) has her first ballet class Wednesday.
A very tired but content Kim
