Both kids were in school today so I used the time to get my hair-cut, meet Matt for lunch, get a little work done and just rest. Ian had a play-date after school so I picked Zoe up from her school and we went out for coffee (well, she had milk and a muffin). It was so fun to sit in a coffee shop with her and just chat. Ian and I have done this many times alone and have had great conversations, I just hadn't thought Zoe was quite old enough for it yet. Of course she had plenty to say and really enjoyed the 'grown-up' time. We're looking forward to Mom and Dad's visit tomorrow and a slow weekend. I'll share pictures of the kids' new beds soon.
