CSA

Some of you know that we do a CSA most years. Essentially it's a share of a farm...we pay a certain amount and we receive a box full of whatever they have that week on the farm. We actually have a working share so that we pay less but have to work 8 half days on the farm. We also split a box with some friends whose kids are our kids ages so they love having play/work time with their friends. Last week we went on Tuesday which was harvest day. It was so amazing to see Ian work so hard (Zoe mostly plays inside the farmhouse) and then get to see what he had packaged and picked in the box this week. Since the friends we split the box with were out of town, we got the whole box this week and his picture doesn't hardly show everything we get. Squash, carrots, a head of cabbage, beets, kale, basil, onions, bok choy, kohlrabi and probably more.
